I like to use this page as a bridge to connect the person behind the site and artwork. Since the majority of this site is dedicated to my work, I thought it important to give you some insight into me, as an artist and as an individual. My hope is that this will give you an idea of how my personality and background came together with my interests and talents . I feel that in understanding the "method behind the madness", so to speak, one is better able to see and appreciate the emotion and thought that goes into any creation.

I began drawing and painting at an early age, always working on one piece or another. After attending a public junior high school, I auditioned for admittance into Fiorello H. LaGuardia School of Music, and Arts, and Performing Arts. I attended grades 9-12 there, with Fine Arts as my major. I had always hoped to pursue Fine Arts as a career, but realized early on that I would do well to also have some training in Graphic Art. However, Fine Art has been and will remain to be at the heart of all my work. I feel that having such a strong background in traditional art methods helps in my designing now, as it gives me the freedom and know-how to work outside a program, instead of being boxed in by the limitations they sometimes pose. I like to put a lot of personality into my work, and having training in both traditional and newer art methods gives me the tools to do so in inventive and imaginative ways.
I like a challenge. If there’s one thing people in my life will agree on, it’s that I don’t back away from challenges! I don’t presume to know every detail about every Graphic program out there. I don’t presume to know all there is to know about trouble-shooting. But I can tell you I approach each new project from a problem-solving point of view. I look at each assignment or piece as a set of lessons from which I can learn. I don’t think any one of us is ever beyond learning new things and new ways to get things done. I like to take on interesting and challenging projects, because in doing so, I am able to expand my knowledge and further my abilities. My clients are then pleased, and I walk away knowing I’ve learned something. It’s a simple process, and everybody wins!
If you haven’t already, please take a moment to look at my portfolio. It includes Fine Art, Graphic Art, and multi- media art. I feel it is a fair representation of my work, both past and present. In viewing it, I think you’ll see the individual feeling and thought I put into all my projects. My artwork truly reveals the person I am within.
